Bedside radio
Clio
Muse's smaller sibling, voiced for a quiet room. Same dial, same controls, same sixteen stations, in a body that belongs on a nightstand.

The voicing
Tuned for low volume, which matters more than it sounds.
Most small speakers are voiced to impress at demonstration level and turn thin when you bring them down to where you would actually play them at eleven at night.
Clio is the other way round. It sounds best quiet: warm, even, and close, with a 2.5″ driver and a passive radiator reaching to 72 Hz.
How you use it
Turn the dial to one of sixteen stations, in the dark, without looking.
Reaching out in the dark and finding the dial without looking, because it is the only thing on the object that moves. That is the whole interaction.
Who it is for
Someone who falls asleep to the radio. Someone who wakes at three and wants something other than their phone. Someone in a spare room, a studio flat, a shared house — anywhere a large speaker would be rude.
It lives on a nightstand, on a desk, or on a bathroom shelf while the bath fills.
